About the Color Change

Is the color real or artificial?

100% real and 100% natural. The blue color comes from butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea), a plant native to Southeast Asia that produces anthocyanin pigments — the same class of antioxidants found in blueberries. The color shift is a natural pH chemical reaction. No artificial dyes, food coloring, or synthetic pigments of any kind.

Will it always shift color?

Yes, as long as you use the Bloom Sachet included with your order. The butterfly pea flower is already in your coffee base — hot water activates the blue. The Bloom Sachet triggers the shift. No sachet, no shift (you will just have a beautiful blue mushroom coffee).

Is hot water or cold water better for the color?

Hot water produces the most vibrant, saturated color. Cold brew works but produces a lighter, more muted blue. For the most dramatic TikTok-worthy color shift, use hot water at around 170°F and add the Bloom Sachet while still hot.

What does the coffee taste like?

Like smooth, clean, slightly earthy mushroom coffee. Butterfly pea flower has a very mild floral note that most people do not detect at all. The HUSTLE's citric acid Bloom Sachet adds a subtle brightness. CALM's oat milk sachet makes it creamy. RESTORE's spirulina is nearly undetectable. If you like mushroom coffee, you will love this.

About the Ingredients

What mushrooms are in each SKU?

HUSTLE: Lion's Mane + Chaga. RESTORE: Reishi + Cordyceps. CALM: Reishi + Lion's Mane. All mushrooms are organic and sourced from US-manufactured facilities.

How much caffeine is in each serving?

Each serving contains approximately 60–80mg of caffeine — significantly less than a standard espresso (63mg per shot) or drip coffee (95–165mg per cup). The adaptogenic mushrooms help modulate the caffeine response, reducing the spike-and-crash effect most people experience with regular coffee.

Are your products vegan and gluten-free?

Yes. All three SKUs are vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, allergen-free, and contain no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The CALM Bloom Sachet contains oat milk powder, which is plant-based. Please review the full ingredient list if you have a specific oat sensitivity.

Can I take these if I am sensitive to caffeine?

MoodWell Shift coffees contain less caffeine than standard coffee. However, if you are highly sensitive to caffeine, we recommend starting with half a serving and seeing how your body responds. CALM (Reishi + Lion's Mane) is our most gentle SKU for caffeine-sensitive drinkers.

About Ordering and Shipping

Why do I receive two packages?

Your MoodWell Shift coffee pouch ships directly from our US fulfillment partner. Your Bloom Sachets ship separately from our team in a second package. Both ship on the same day and typically arrive within 1–2 days of each other. We are working on bundled fulfillment for future orders.

When will my order ship?

Orders typically process within 1–2 business days. Standard US delivery is 3–5 business days for the coffee pouch and 3–7 business days for the Bloom Sachets.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we ship within the United States only. International shipping is on our roadmap.

Can I subscribe and save?

Subscribe and Save options are coming very soon. Subscribe to our email list to be notified when monthly subscriptions launch — subscribers will lock in a 15–20% discount on every order.

Which SKU should I start with?

If you are a productivity-driven morning coffee person: HUSTLE. If you work out or prioritize physical recovery: RESTORE. If you need to manage afternoon stress or prefer a creamier coffee: CALM. If you genuinely cannot decide: Starter Kit, always.
